PERMANENT MAKEUP

Permanent Makeup Can Save You Time & Money

Permanent makeup has been in existence since the early 1900’s. Since then it has helped the modern woman deal with her fast-paced lifestyle. Having permanent makeup has helped make a woman’s morning a little more relaxed. With permanent makeup, you can get ready for work without having to take the extra steps to apply all of your makeup!

Having permanent makeup applied has several advantages:

  • Placing long lasting makeup into the skin
  • Helps define eyes and lips
  • Enhances natural beauty
  • Long lasting results
  • Completed in a medical setting with a licensed cosmetic technician
  • Beautiful makeup in a few short hours

Having permanent makeup applied to your skin does not have to be only for time saving purposes. Many women find as they get older, their skin has an allergic reaction to chemicals in everyday makeup.  Makeup can be quite expensive, if you have to purchase types that are non-allergenic. Some women may suffer from Alopecia, which is a permanent hair loss, which can affect the hair on their face as well or women who have had hair loss due to chemotherapy. Permanent makeup can help these women feel more natural with permanent eyebrow makeup. This can also be said for women who have suffered through fires or other devastating facial scarring. These women are able to feel back to normal on a daily basis.

Permanent makeup is the process of receiving permanent pigmentation into the skin, much like having a tattoo. This is usually done in areas such as your eyebrows, lining of the lips, skin in the face and eye-lining. This procedure is done by a certified cosmetologist technician in the Lexington and Louisville areas, at our medical offices.

Permanent makeup helps enhance a woman’s natural beauty and enhance the areas where she feels she needs the enhancement. Prior to having the makeup implementation, there will be a 30 minute consultation with a registered nurse, to help you decide if this is the right type of procedure for you. Touchups can be done if the coloration starts to fade, and the color can be removed if a reaction should occur after implantation.

Although referred to as permanent makeup, it is indeed not a permanent procedure. It can last for as long as 10 to 15 years, if well maintained. This would include not getting other laser treatments in the area where you have had the color enhancements, forgoing frequent sun exposure, doing without frequent visits to the tanning beds, or not using exfoliants in these areas. Using one or more of these can result in early fading or loss of the colorations.

Permanent makeup will make you feel as though you are not as rushed, as your prepare for that big board meeting or while you are getting your children ready for a day out with the family. Enhancing your natural beauty will draw more attention to you and make you feel better on those days that you just can’t seem to find enough time to do everything you need to complete.
