Confronting weight loss is personal.  Stepping on a scale can be scary and emotional.  At Wells, we want you to know that you are not alone.  By committing to lifestyle and behavioral changes, weight loss medication can help make your ideal body image and weight possible.

If you are new to your weight loss journey, we can get you there.  If you are in maintenance, we can keep you going.  If you are ready to show off the new you, we can rejuvenate your skin and facial contours.  If your goal is surgery, we will help get you to a surgery-ready weight.  All from our caring team of providers.

Our GIP/GLP-1 Agonist weight loss medication program offers once-a-week injectable medications, including Semaglutide* and Tirzepatide*.

At your initial WellsNess consultation, your provider will:

  • Provide a comprehensive health assessment.
  • Discuss weight loss and maintenance programs.
  • Discuss the type of medication that will be most beneficial to you and work within your budget
  • Discuss financing programs available
  • Order lab work
  • Develop a personalized plan of care to help preventing or reduce side effects of these medications.

In general these medications are well tolerated.  Some patients experience gastrointestinal symptoms, but these tend to resolve after the first month as your body adapts to the new medication.  The payoff is big.  Patients can lose up to 21% of their total body weight through medication, diet and lifestyle modifications!

Q:  Do I need to have lab work done?

A:  Yes.  Patients that decide to participate in the WellsNess Weight Loss Program will have labs ordered to ensure you are a candidate for GIP/GLP-1 Agonist weight loss medication use.  It will also give us a baseline for Dr. Jill Collins, APRN, to make an assessment of your current health status as she evaluates your medical history.  If you have had labs done within a month, you can provide those results.
