Make A Dramatic Improvement In The Youthful Appearance Of Your Face with a Lip Lift.
A lip lift is a surgical procedure designed to create a more youthful, balanced appearance of the lips by enhancing the shape and visibility of the upper lip. By shortening the distance between the nose and the upper lip, a lip lift increases the prominence of the pink portion of the lip (vermilion border), resulting in a fuller, more defined appearance without adding volume through fillers.
Unlike non-surgical lip enhancement with injectable dermal fillers, a lip lift provides a permanent structural improvement to lip shape and proportion.
What Is an Upper Lip Lift?
An upper lip lift is ideal for patients who feel the space between the nose and upper lip has lengthened over time or who desire more visible, naturally fuller lips. As we age, this area tends to elongate and lose definition, which can diminish lip fullness and contribute to an older appearance.
The upper lip is defined as the area between the base of the nose and the beginning of the pink lip tissue. While ideal measurements vary based on individual facial features, this distance is typically approximately 12–15 millimeters. A lip lift adjusts this proportion to restore balance and enhance facial harmony.

The Lip Lift Procedure
The most commonly used technique is the subnasal (bullhorn) lip lift, named for the shape of the incision. A carefully placed, curved incision is made just beneath the base of the nose, following the natural contours of the area. A small section of skin is removed, and the upper lip is gently lifted and secured in a higher position.
Because the incision is hidden along the natural crease beneath the nose, scarring is typically discreet and fades well over time.
Lip lift surgery is performed as an outpatient procedure in our fully accredited, in-house surgical suite and generally takes approximately two hours.
Lip Lift recovery is approximately 5-7 days before sutures are removed and swelling decreases. You will experience a moderate amount of swelling the first 72 hours, treated with cold compresses. Pain is minimal and controlled with oral pain reliever. The procedure is outpatient, performed in our in-house surgical suite, and takes about two hours.
Recovery and Healing
Initial Swelling: Most noticeable during the first 72 hours and managed with cold compresses
Suture Removal: Typically within 5–7 days
Discomfort: Usually mild and well-controlled with oral pain medication
Downtime: Most patients return to normal activities within one week.
As healing progresses, swelling subsides, and results continue to refine, revealing a more youthful, naturally enhanced lip appearance.
